Leafs TV signs Peter Puck agreement

Toronto-based Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment has signed an agreement with Sports Family, also based in Toronto, to feature spokescharacter Peter Puck in its hockey broadcasts on Leafs TV. The channel will air the character's animated segments from the 1970s during 11 game broadcasts between Dec. 20 and Feb. 21. "Peter Puck is a part of hockey's cultural heritage," said Chris Hebb, senior vice-president of broadcast and content at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. "Now the thousands of hockey fans who grew up watching Peter Puck can relive cherished childhood memories of the past, and also introduce their own children to this beloved character."
