Ford installs branding iron billboard in Calgary

Ford of Canada has installed a billboard 44 metres wide and eight metres high in Edmonton. The creative takes the form of the grill of an F-Series Super Duty pick-up truck and a three-dimensional branding iron in the shape of the Ford logo. The branding iron is coated in translucent glowing paint and incorporates 3,000 LED lights to create the illusion of glowing heat. In addition, the iron emits a mist of water resembling smoke three times per day. The logo on the truck grill is also illuminated with red lights. The sign will remain in place until December. Advertising for Ford is handled by Young & Rubicam.
