CLARIFICATION

An item yesterday about the way tobacco ads are checked before they run in the media mentioned that Patrick McDougall, president of the Association of Canadian Advertisers, and John Sinclair, president of the Institute of Canadian Advertising, were members of a committee formerly involved in vetting tobacco advertising. The two men are no longer in those presidential posts. The presidency of the ACA is currently vacant and Sinclair has been replaced at the ICA by Rupert Brendon.
