The Movie Network promotes new show online

Astral Media of Toronto will begin an online promotion today for a new comedy series called Flight of the Conchords, which will debut on The Movie Network on June 17. From May 22 until the broadcast debut, the company will make the first episode available as streaming video at the website <http://www.themovienetwork.ca/flightoftheconchords>. This is the first time the channel has made a full episode of a program available online. “Flight of the Conchords is a musical comedy series that lends itself perfectly to the online platform,” said Kevin Wright, senior vice-president of programming at Astral Television Networks. “This is an excellent promotional opportunity for The Movie Network, giving subscribers and non-subscribers a sampling of the first-rate programming available exclusively on our service.”
