After 20 years with Toronto-based Wunderman Cato Johnson Canada, Mona Goldstein has been appointed president of the sales promotion firm. While this is an upgrading of her managing director title she will continue to do the same job. Goldstein joined the agency in 1976 as a secretary, and within six years was appointed managing director. Last year she won the the Toronto Direct Marketing Association's Direct Marketer of the Year award. In 1991 she won an award of the same name from the Canadian Direct Marketing Association

...The Leo Burnett Company has some new faces in the Toronto office. Laurie Sloan has joined the ad agency as senior vice-president and client service director. She is also a member of the agency's management committee. Formerly she was vice-president and group account director at FCB Canada in Toronto. Sloan has also worked at J. Walter Thompson in Toronto. Art director David Popescu and copywriter Denise Rossetto are Burnett's newest creative team. Pepescu was previously at Taxi Advertising and Design and Rossetto at Guerrilla TV, both in Toronto. Nathalie Burnstein-Woods has come to the agency as account supervisor on the Bell Canada business. Previously she held the same title at J. Walter Thompson in Toronto, where she worked on the Unilever account. Geoff Hardwicke joins the agency as account executive on the Bell Canada business. Most recently he was account executive at Young & Rubicam in Toronto, where he worked on Xerox Canada, Colgate-Palmolive, Whitehall-Robins and Labatt Breweries of Canada.
