GCI DOING PR FOR NUTRITION MONTH
By Adnews Staff
The Canadian Dietetic Association has hired the Toronto office of the public relations firm GCI Communications to coordinate the Canadian half of North American Nutrition Month in March next year. The 1997 healthful eating campaign will be the first run jointly by the CDA and its U.S. counterpart, the American Dietetic Association. Operating under the theme "All Foods Fit", the campaign shows that there are no good or bad foods; the overall eating pattern is what's important. The CDA will run a Nutrition Month Web site for the first time and the CDA's 4,400 members will be given a chance to publicize their services on the site. They will be profiled in connection with local events organized across Canada. The site will allow computer users to call up nutrition information on their screens, and to do interactive exercises. The national voice of Canadian dietitians, the CDA is the third largest dietetic association in the world.
