The Calgary-based Creative Kids Museum has begun an advertising campaign to promote the opening of the facility on Oct. 14. The campaign depicts the museum as a place that encourages fantasy in young minds. The print ads, banners and signage that make up the creative use images of common objects along with copy listing various imaginary uses to which the object could be put. One ad reads, “Knight’s helmet, Barbie jacuzzi, witch’s cauldron, bongo drum, Olympic podium, echo chamber, wishing well, robot head, hole to the centre of the earth and of course, a pot.” The campaign was created by Taxi Calgary. Media planning and buying were handled by Media Experts. “We want to ignite a child’s or adult’s imagination,” said Zak Mroueh, executive creative director at Taxi Canada. “Our creative invites kids to be themselves in this unique museum and learn in an environment that they can truly call their own.”
