CLORETS MAN IS BACK

Warner-Lambert Canada will start airing its latest TV commercial for Clorets breath mints and chewing gum in Ontario next week. The ad was launched in the rest of Canada today. The spot is the fourth in a series featuring actor Michael Richards (of Seinfeld fame) as the Clorets Man in engaged in a quest to stamp out bad breath. It shows him crawling through a dark underground tunnel to find his way into the dining area of a hotel which has a large brunch buffet laid out. He ends up behind the buffet table posing as a hamfisted omelette cook, wreaking havoc as he tell the patrons that they should keep Clorets with them all the times. Unlike former spots that zeroed in on highly scented foods such as garlic and onions, this commercial stresses that even ordinary edibles can cause bad breath. The spot was created by J. Walter Thompson of Toronto.
