By Adnews Staff
CanWest MediaWorks and Rogers Wireless have launched a new service that delivers video and audio content to BlackBerry wireless devices. The service, called BBTV, will offer content from Global News, Global National, Global Morning, the Financial Post and Rogers Sportsnet. The subscription-based service will also carry advertising in the form of five-second clips at the beginning and end of each downloaded segment. General Motors, Royal Bank of Canada, Tylenol and Labatt have signed on as the service's first advertisers. "BBTV gives us a new distribution platform for delivering our content and provides advertisers with a new advertising platform to reach niche audiences in a more targeted way," said Arturo Duran, interactive and business integration president at CanWest MediaWorks.
