Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada release new PSA

The Toronto-based Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada has released a new public service announcement intended to raise awareness of and public support for its programs. Thirty- and 60-second versions of the ad, called “A Child’s Potential,” have been created to illustrate the impact of the organization on children and youths in a community. The ad is set in a garbage dump. As light music plays, children emerge from the garbage. The ad closes with the copy, “Don’t let any child’s potential be thrown away.” The announcement was created by BBDO Toronto. “It is important that the Boys and Girls Clubs continue to build awareness and deliver a strong message about the programs and services we offer to children and youth who are in need across Canada,” said Pam Jolliffe, national executive director of the organization.
