Adwurks Canada has purchased PHSN-TV of Toronto, a company that operates an inventory of video displays in the waiting rooms 1,900 Canadian health-care providers. These screens display a loop of information and entertainment programming combined with advertising. Adwurks specializes in organizing and distributing digital content through its own collection of video displays. The company intends to conduct an upgrade of PHSN's technology which will include LCD, plasma and digital projection displays, along with Internet-connected monitoring devices. According to the company, the upgraded service will be able to update its programming continuously rather than monthly and to provide more localized content. Twenty-five sites will be modified this month, followed by additional monthly upgrades. The company plans to have converted 1,000 locations to the new system by late 2007. "Our entire team is looking forward to the dramatic increase in creative flexibility that we can now offer to our sponsors," said Ed Voltan, president of PHSN-TV "As well, the improved auditing and compliance capability will serve to augment our value proposition." Adwurks Canada is a division of Adwurks of Indianapolis, IN.
