Mothers Against Drunk Driving Canada has released of a new television public service announcement encouraging young people not to drive while under the influence of drugs such as marijuana. The ad, called "Papers," depicts a conversation on this subject between a package of rolling papers and a young person who has been smoking marijuana. "This is a very important message delivered in a humorous and twisted way," said Andrew Murie, CEO of MADD Canada. "It is a PSA designed specifically to speak to young people who are cannabis users. We want to emphasize to this group that taking drugs and driving do not mix." The ad, which was created by Saatchi and Saatchi, is being distributed to television stations nationally.
