PUROLATOR INTRODUCES SHIPPING SOFTWARE
By Adnews Staff
Purolator Courier of Mississauga, Ont. is launching free shipping software next month. Called Purolink, the software lets users prepare and price shipments, print shipping labels, request a courier pick-up, order supplies and track packages from their desktop computers. It also keeps a history of customers' shipment records. Print, TV and outdoor advertising for Purolink will begin next week. It was created by Bensimon*Byrne of Toronto. Purolator hired Bensimon*Byrne on an interim basis in January. The courier still hasn't decided if it will stay with the agency or conduct a review, marketing director Doug Appleby told Adnews yesterday. Harrison, Young, Pesonen & Newell does media buying. A Purolator rival, Federal Express, launched its FedEx Ship software earlier this month.
