HOSTESS LAUNCHES NEW CAMPAIGN FOR NEW CHIP
By Adnews Staff
Hostess Frito-Lay of Mississauga, Ont. will launch a TV campaign next week for its reformulated Hostess potato chips. The ads, which were created by BBDO Canada of Toronto, feature Mathew Perry of the hit TV show, Friends. The spots will be supported by point-of-sale material done by Mark IV of Mississauga, Ont. The new Hostess chips are thinner and made with different seasonings. They came on the Canadian market in mid-February sporting bag with a temporary design. It bears an ersatz newspaper article about the product reformulation. In eight weeks the chips will have a new bag, designed by Thomas Pigeon Design of Oakville, Ont.
