FCB LANDS JUICE ACCOUNT

U.S.-based Seagram Beverage Group has given its North American Dole juices account to FCB/Leber Katz Partners of New York. If Seagram decides to do Canadian advertising for Dole products, FCB Canada in Toronto will localize the U.S. ads and its Optimedia division will do media buying. Currently, Seagram doesn't advertise Dole brands in Canada. When contacted this week by Adnews, U.S. spokesperson Mark Gutsche wouldn't confirm or deny that Canadian advertising will be done for Dole products in the future. The U.S. Dole account had been with Lord Dentsu & Partners of Los Angeles for five years. Seagram bought Dole Food Co. of California in January, 1995. Before the buy-out Dole advertising was done by Stringer Veroni Ketchum Advertising of Toronto. Dole juice labels are Dole, Juice Bowl, Furvita and Looza.
