SPORTS ARENA TAKES COREL'S NAME
By Adnews Staff
Corel Corp. is slapping its name on the new Ottawa sports arena that opened in January. The Ottawa-based software maker is paying $25 million to have the building's name changed from Palladium to Corel Centre. The company has also agreed to spend $200,000 a year for advertising promoting the arena. Corel's name will appear on the inside of the building and logos will be on all sales materials, advertising and signage. It will get an executive suite, employee tickets and use of the building for corporate events such as its annual graphics awards gala.
