Quaker Tropicana Gatorade Canada has signed Vancouver Canucks forward Todd Bertuzzi as spokesperson for the Gatorade Fierce sports drink. Bertuzzi's contract is for two years. His first advertising appearance for Gatorade will begin on Monday. The television commercial, called "TV Store," was created by Downtown Partners of Toronto. It will run nationally during the NHL playoffs. The ad shows a boy watching four television sets in a store window. One screen shows Bertuzzi in a hockey game. Bertuzzi is hit by another player, causing him to slide across the other three screens. In Quebec the campaign was executed by Montreal-based bleu blanc rouge. Public relations for Gatorade are handled by Strategic Objectives of Toronto. Montreal Canadiens goaltender José Theodore signed a two-year contract to be a spokesperson for Gatorade in Canada last year.
