ANOTHER PAPER SHRINKS

Montreal-based Probec is changing the size of another daily newspaper. In March, La Presse will be one and a half inches narrower. The move is being made because of high newsprint prices, but will have the side effect of making the paper easier to handle. Last October, Probec changed the size of La Tribune and Le Nouvelliste daily newspapers. Le Soleil has been using a smaller size since last March. The Toronto Star started the trend in 1993.
