Probed signs representation deal with Canadian Primedia

Montreal-based newspaper company Probec has entered into an agreement with Canadian Primedia Sales & Marketing of Toronto to represent its publications to advertisers and agencies outside Quebec. The agreement will go into effect in April. Primedia is a recently-formed company headed by Ron Clark, formerly senior vice-president of CanWest Media Sales. Probec's newspapers include La Presse of Montreal, Le Soleil of Quebec City, Le Nouvelliste of Trois-Rivières, Le Droit of Ottawa-Hull, La Tribune of Sherbrooke, Le Quotidien of Saguenay, La Voix de l'Est of Granby and Le Progrès Dimanche of Chicoutimi. Probec is owned by Gesca, a subsidiary of Power Corporation.
