Transcontinental Media president departs

André Préfontaine has left the position of president of Montreal-based publisher Transcontinental Media. Luc Desjardins, Transcontinental Inc.'s president and CEO, will handle the job in the interim. Also, Daniel Denault, the publisher's chief financial officer, will depart the company on Feb. 17. Treasurer Benoît Huard will be appointed interim CFO.
