LINDT HAS COLD COMFORT FOR LOVERS OF SWEETS
By Adnews Staff
Swiss-based Lindt Chocolates brought a cool treat to Canadian chocaholics earlier this month, called Les Pyreneens. Produced in milk and dark chocolate versions, Pyereens are meant to be kept refrigerated and enjoyed before they reach room temperature. Europeans have been letting these goodies melt in their mouths since 1927, but Lindt has only brought enough into Canada for Eaton's and The Bay stores to sell during the Christmas season. Free samples are being handed out in the stores which are using point-of-purchase materials created by Cossette Communication-Marketing of Toronto. Lindt markets other upscale chocolates under the names Lindor, Lindt Thins, Lindt Connaisseur, Lindt Truffles and Gourmet Truffles, and also chocolate bars in Truffle and Liqueur & Fruit versions.
