PUBLISHER SELLING U.S. PRINTING COMPANY

Toronto Sun Publishing Corp. is selling its U.S. printer Comprint for $12 million(CDN) to The Gazette Newspapers. Comprint has contracts to print U.S. military publications and annual revenue of about $15 million(US). Sun Publishing had thought about expanding the printing business or starting a daily newspaper in the Washington area. The deal with Gazette will close in the first quarter of 1996. Gazette owns 16 small newspapers and a monthly business publication. It is owned by the Washington Post Company. In the first nine months of this year Sun Publishing had a profit of $5.2 million.
