KLM MOVES HEADQUARTERS
By Adnews Staff
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is moving its Canadian head office from Montreal to Toronto because most of its customers now fly out of airports in Ontario and Western Canada. Spoksperson Frances Dion told Adnews last week that Allard Communications of Montreal was doing print ads for KLM until the airline sharply reduced its $2-million ad budget two years ago. Now the airline does only a small amount of print advertising. When it does advertise, it handles the job in-house, even though the relationship with Allard has not been officially ended. Travel agency promotions are handled by various ad shops on a project basis.
