YOUTH HOCKEY MAGAZINE RUSHES INTO STORES

Paton Marketing Resources, a Toronto-based publisher of youth magazines, and The Hockey Company of based in Westmount, PQ, manufacturer of the CCM, JOFA and KOHO lines of hockey equipment, have launched a new hockey magazine called RUSH. The magazine custom developed for The Hockey Company. RUSH will have an estimated circulation of 500,000. The free magazine will be distributed in sporting goods stores that carry The Hockey Company products in Canada, the U.S. and in Europe. Editorial will include NHL player interviews, tips to help young hockey players improve their game, comics, and hockey facts, statistics and trivia. Each issue will also contain showcases featuring the latest products from The Hockey Company. RUSH will also be available as an insert in PowerPlay magazine, the official youth magazine of the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League's Players Association, also published by Paton. RUSH will be published twice a year in the spring and fall. The premier issue will be available this month. The second issue will arrive in September or October.
