CLEARLY CANADA POURS REEBOK BRANDED WATER INTO STORES

Vancouver-based Clearly Canadian Beverage Corporation is stepping into stores this spring with its new Reebok Fitness Water beverages. Clearly Canadian first announced a licensing agreement with Reebok International, based in Canton, MA, in February in which Clearly Canadian would manufacture, distribute and sell the Reebok branded drink in addition to its flavored waters, O+2 and Tré Limone beverages. Reebok Fitness Water contains vitamins C, B6, B12 and Folic Acid as well as calcium, potassium and magnesium and is available in three flavours: natural, berry and citrus. The beverage's rollout begins this month at grocery and convenience stores in select U.S. markets. Clearly Canadian plans to rollout the beverages nationally in the U.S. by the end of the year and introduce the line north of the border in 2002. Reebok Fitness Waters, packaged in clear bottles with contoured, ribbed bodies and shrink film labels, are being targeted to active, health conscious consumers. Marketing support will include a brand building program from Clearly Canadian including point-of-purchase displays and materials and a sampling program. Karacters Design Group of Vancouver created the packaging design and supporting POS materials.
