PALM TEES OFF VOLKSWAGEN CAMPAIGN

Montreal-based Palm Publicité Marketing breaks a new campaign for the Quebec Volkswagen Dealers' Association today. Thirty-second television and radio commercials running in English and French are focusing on the Golf's security features. The campaign's creative incorporates the sound made by the Golf's locking system into an automobile symphony. The advertising is also intended to drive traffic to the <http://www.vw.com> Web site where a mini-site has been created to inform people about the Golf. "The Golf has a very good standard equipment package, including the best anti-theft and ignition interlock systems in its category," said Marc-André Rivard, vice-president and co-creative director at Palm. "It was natural to promote these attributes, which are unique to the Golf and not very well-known to the public." Advertising is scheduled to run throughout Quebec until mid-May.
