PARTSOURCE STORES INTRODUCE CLUB CARDS
By Adnews Staff
PartSource, the national automotive parts and accessories chain owned by Toronto-based Canadian Tire Corporation, is introducing a new loyalty program. The Club Card gives members discounts on selected in-store items as well as access to special product promotions. The card is available for free at all 30 PartSource stores. The discounted items offered are drawn from several product lines and categories and will be changed every three months. Initial lines include brake accessories, oil products, gaskets and fuel filters. Products will be discounted 10 to 50 percent. Member's purchases can also be tracked for warranty purposes or for customer convenience if a receipt is lost. A number of marketing activities to promote the new loyalty program are planned for each market in which a PartSource store is located. Radio advertising from Stretch Inc. and print advertising, created in-house, promoting the program will be supported with in-store materials encouraging customers to get a Club Card. A direct mail piece sent to select markets was created by Pinebeach Communications. Media buying for the radio ads was handled by Doner Canada. All of these companies are based in Toronto.
