GAP NAMES HEAD OF GLOBAL MARKETING

Gap Inc. has made Peter Hempel executive vice-president of marketing. Hempel will be responsible for overseeing the global marketing of the Gap brand which includes Gap, GapKids, babyGap and GapBody. He joins the company from Lowe Lintas & Partners where he was executive vice-president and general manager of account management. Gap operates stores in Canada, the U.S., France, Japan, Germany and the United Kingdom.
