JOEY'S ONLY SEAFOOD RESTAURANTS HOOKS NEW LOOK
By Adnews Staff
Calgary-based Joey's Only Franchising Ltd. has given its chain of casual restaurants a make over including a new logo and in-restaurant decor. The logo was re-designed to make it easier to read and identify in the restaurant's signage. The Joey's Only Fat Fish character, a plump, round yellow fish previously only seen in the restaurants, is also included in the logo. Inside, the decor consists of wood paneling and tiles that pick up the blue and yellow of the new logo. Open ceilings in the dining rooms display hanging corrugated metal intended to create the look of a seaside shack. Lanterns hang from the ceilings. Nautical elements such as netting, crabs, traps, fish, lobsters and ship's wheels are placed throughout the restaurant. New menus have also been created which display the new logo and promote the addition of Tennessee Jack's Rotisserie Chicken and Ribs items to the restaurant's fare. The Tennessee Jack's concept is owned by Joey's Only Franchising. Hunter Straker of Toronto designed the logo and worked with Joey's Only Franchising on the design of the new menus. The in-restaurant decor was created by Interics of Calgary. There are 80 Joey's Only Seafood and Joey's Only/Tennessee Jack's restaurants in Canada and the U.S.
