PATTISON ADDS COQUITLAM TO TRANSIT SHELTER PROGRAM
By Adnews Staff
Pattison Outdoor of Burnaby, BC, has won a ten-year agreement from the City of Coquitlam to serve as the city's supplier of transit shelters. The agreement will result in the construction of 125 new transit shelters throughout the city. Pattison won the contract following a competitive process in which the incumbent Mediacom also participated. Mediacom's five-year contract with the city expired last August but had been extended to March of this year while the review process was conducted. Pattison will pay the city a fee for each transit shelter site. Coquitlam will also receive a portion of advertising space on the shelters for public announcements and community events or to give to community groups. Constructions costs, installation and maintenance of the shelters will be paid by Pattison.
