TOURISM CAMAPIGN IN NORTHEAST U.S.
By Adnews Staff
Tourisme Quebec is spending a reported $2.7 million on a campaign to attract U.S. visitors during the winter. Le Journal de Montreal says that the provincial tourism ministry is using daily newspaper and tourism magazine advertising to reach Americans in New England and the eastern seaboard. The ministry is also running a joint radio campaign with the American Automobile Association in New York City, Boston and Rochester, New York. Also, public relations are being aimed at consumers and the travel trade. Ten thousand copies of an information bulletin will be sent out monthly. Montreal-based Cossette Communication-Marketing does winter tourism advertising for the province.
