SPRITE OUTFITS BOARDERS IN NEED

Canadian snowboarders are being encouraged to gear up in Toronto-based Coca-Cola's new Sprite "Need Gear" instant win promotion. The national contest is running until April 30. Players look under the lids of specially-marked bottles of Sprite, Coca-Cola Classic, Diet Coke, Cool from Nestea and Barq's Root Beer to see if they've won one of 25,000 snowboarding gear prizes from K2, Ride and Planet Earth or one of over 2 million Coca-Cola beverages. A national television and radio advertising campaign focused on snowboarding and using the tagline "Trust your instincts and obey your thirsts." broke on Monday. TV and radio advertising, from Lowe Lintas & Partners of New York, will run for three-weeks, supported by magazine ads, transit advertising and posters from MarketingDrive Canada of Toronto.
