ATLANTIC LOTTERY CORPORATION FIRST MAJOR SPONSOR OF 2003 CANADA GAMES

The Atlantic Lottery Corporation has bought the title of first corporate sponsor of the 2003 Canada Winter Games. The corporation will contribute $350,000 towards the event in addition to continuing its sportsbag distribution program. The ALC has been a sponsor of the Canada Games for the past 24 years, distributing sportsbags to every Atlantic Canadian athlete participating in the event. The Games are held every two years and alternate between winter and summer. The 2003 Winter Games will consist of 21 sports. Competition takes place from February 22 to March 8 in the Bathurst-Campbellton region of New Brunswick. The ALC first became a major sponsor of the event in 1999 when the Games where held in Corner Brook, NFLD.
