INTERNET EXPO BREAKS ADVERTISING

Macgregor Communications of Markham, Ontario is preparing for its upcoming Internet Shopping Expo. The three-day event taking place November 10 through 12 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre will be promoted through print, online and radio advertising. The expo is designed to bring Internet companies "face-to-face" with consumers. In addition to promotional activities such as ticket giveaways, print ads supporting the event are scheduled to begin running in the Toronto Star October 20. A special section of the daily newspaper on November 9 will also include ads promoting the event. Full-page ads will also be seen in the November issue of Toronto Life magazine and WebPages Directory. A showguide will also be inserted in the November issue of Toronto Life. Online ads will appear on event sponsor and media partner Web sites as well as on Cybersurf.com, Excite.ca, Globaltv.com, Nationalpost.com and Ticketmaster.ca. Radio promotion on Toronto stations Mix 99.9FM, Hits 103.5FM and CJRT-FM is still being planned. Print and online advertising was created in-house. Promotional activities, radio advertising and public relations are being handled by Michael Communications of Toronto.
