TELETOON COUNTING DOWN THE 13 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based animation station Teletoon begins a 13 Days of Halloween countdown on October 19. On-air promotion will support the new programming block from 4 to 7 p.m., during which the network will air spooky and frightening shows. Every day during the Halloween block the channel will bear a Halloween motif. Teletoon's Web site will also be replaced by a "Halloween Haven" containing games, contests and seasonal snacking ideas from Kraft Canada. The network has also teamed up with Kraft's KD brand in a new promotion that encourages viewers to identify which Teletoon character has stolen the color orange. Daily clues will be revealed on-air as well as on a hidden part of the Teletoon Halloween Web site accessible by providing answers from packages of Kraft Dinner. A 30-second spot will begin promoting the contest beginning October 10, to be accompanied by a 30-second spot supporting the Halloween programming block. The Halloween on-air look, Web site and supporting promotion were created in-house by Teletoon. The grand prize winner of the Teletoon/Kraft contest will receive a tangerine-orange iMac computer and a year's supply of Kraft Dinner. One hundred secondary winners will receive Kraft T-shirts and Teletoon hats.
