RESPONSE TO KELLOGG'S ALL-BRAN AD OFF THE CHARTS

Toronto-based Kellogg Canada has been receiving positive feedback at its consumer poll centre for its new 30-second commercial promoting its All-Bran Buds with psyllium cereal. The spot debuted nationally in English and French earlier this month and is the first television spot dedicated solely to the All-Bran Buds product. The spot is called "Chart" and features special effects and 3D animation from Toronto-based computer animation studio TOPIX/Mad Dog. The commercial opens in a doctor's office, early in the morning. The viewer sees a chart on the wall with the picture of a women's skeletal figure. While no one is there, the figure is seen extricating herself from the poster and going into the kitchen. After eating a bowl of All-Bran-Buds, the glass-like figure returns to the office and steps back into her place on the poster. The spot is scheduled to run on an ongoing basis. Television creative will be followed with print and other forms of advertising in the upcoming months. Advertising for All-Bran Buds is done by Leo Burnett of Toronto.
