The Institute of Canadian Advertising and the Association of Quebec Advertising Agencies have appointed Chuck Guité vice president of government and industry relations for their new joint Ottawa office, opening September 1. Guité will head up the new office and represent both the ICA and the AAPQ to federal and provincial governments on advertising related issues. Prior to his retirement from government services last year, Guité served as executive director of the communications coordination services branch within the federal government.

Peter Wright has joined Toronto-based Availablemedia.com as director of sales. He comes to Availablemedia.com with a background in broadcast and production, most recently serving as national account executive at Cross Roads Television System.
