SCHNEIDER TOSSES AROUND NEW LINE

Schneider Corporation, based in Kitchener, Ontario, has made making dinner easier and faster with the launch of its new line of ready-to-use meats called "Toss' ins." "With the introduction of our new Toss' ins line, we are reaching consumers who are also looking for convenience and versatility. Food choices will always be about taste, but our research shows products today must also fit into consumers lifestyles," Toss' ins marketing manager, Darlene Gingrich said. The Toss' ins line features sliced and diced meats ready for cooking including Bacon Bits, Pepperoni, Smoked Ham and Spicy Smoked Sausage. Each product features zippered packaging that allows consumers to reseal and keep the meat fresh. Schneiders is also including a recipe on the back of each package for a meal that can be prepared in 30 minutes or less. Toss' ins began making their way into major grocery stores across Canada this month. An insert in major dailies and promotion at Toronto's CNE including product sampling, cooking demonstrations and coupon distribution are supporting the product. Public relations for the launch is being handled by Thornley Fallis Communications of Toronto. Schneider's insert was created by The Ongoing Partnership also of Toronto.
