BEN & JERRY'S SCOOP UP TWO NEW FLAVORS

Move over Cherry Garcia and Chunky Monkey, two new Ben & Jerry's flavors are now available in Canada. Bovinity Divinity combines chocolate ice cream and white fudge with white chocolate ice cream and dark fudge and Mint Chocolate Cookie mixes peppermint ice cream with whole and broken chocolate sandwich cookies. The addition of the two new flavors brings the total number of Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavors available in the Canadian market to 12. Delicious Alternative Desserts of Stoney Creek, Ontario manufactures and distributes the Ben & Jerry's line in Canada. The line-up of ice cream and frozen yogurt flavors has been available in grocery and convenience stores as well as supermarkets across Canada since last year. Ian Kennedy, chief operating officer of D.A.D. said the two new flavors were chosen as the latest additions to the Canadian line-up because of their popularity in the U.S. and because they fill gaps in the super premium ice cream market. Public relations and promotional activities running throughout the summer, from Toronto-based Dasko Communications, will be supporting the launch of the new flavors.
