HBS PROMOTING BRAND WITH FREE INTERNET ACCESS

Ottawa-based advertising and marketing communications agency Hewson Bridge and Smith Ltd. has come up with a new way to promote the agency brand and its online marketing abilities. The agency is distributing free Internet access cards to potential clients and contacts. The cards, created by Interpass Net Technologies Inc. of Ottawa, feature the agency's logo and positioning statement. The access card contains instructions that take users to HBS's Web site and then provides full Internet access from anywhere in North America that Interpass service is available. Interpass is a North American network of Internet service providers. Said HBS president Don Hewson, "This innovative technology offers unlimited branding possibilities, with total emphasis on the brand." Interpass offers local dial-up Internet access from 2,500 North American communities.
