HOFFMANN-LA ROCHE BROADCASTING THE FLU REPORT ON THE WEATHER NETWORK

Hoffmann-La Roche Limited (Roche Canada) of Mississauga, Ontario and The Weather Network of Toronto are preparing to report on coughs and sneezes with the launch of Flu Report today. The nationally televised influenza tracking report will be seen daily throughout the flu season from December 6, 1999 to March 26, 2000 on The Weather Network. The Flu Report will be updated regularly to include information on locations of flu alerts and outbreaks. In addition to the updates, 30-second information spots will be included in the report hosted by Dr. Donald Low an infectious disease specialist at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Hoffmann-La Roche is meeting this year's flu season with a new prescription drug called Tamiflu. Sudler & Hennessey Canada Inc. of Montreal was recently appointed advertising AOR for the flu drug and will be handling its launch in Canada. PR for Tamiflu is handled by Edelman Public Relations Canada of Toronto.
