HOWE & COMPANY, GPC COMMUNICATIONS MERGE

GPC Canada has announced its Toronto-based division GPC Communications has purchased and merged operations with the public relations firm Howe & Company. Howe & Company, specializes in corporate communications for both private and public sector clients and GPC Communications, is a Canadian government and public relations consulting organization. Patrick Howe, the firm's founder, has been appointed vice chairman of GPC Communications. Dawn McDowell and John McHugh, also principals of Howe & Company, have been appointed vice presidents of GPC Communications. Howe & Company was founded in 1992 as a full service public relations firm. "Combining the complementary skills and expertise of Howe & Company with those of GPC communications will translate into substantive results for both our clients," James Crossland, president and CEO of GPC Canada said. The GPC International group of companies includes: GPC Canada Inc., the parent company of GPC Communications and GPC Governments Policy Consultants, GPC USA and GPC Government Policy Consultants in Europe. GPC International is a member of the Communications Consulting Worldwide group and the Diversified Agency Services division of the Omnicom Group. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
