SUBWAY CELEBRATING MIL-LOONEY-UM

Subway Restaurants of Milford, Connecticut has teamed up with Warner Brothers to celebrate the Mil-Looney-Um. The fast food franchise launched the seven week promotion last week in conjunction with the worldwide Mil-Looney-Um campaign by Warner Brothers Consumer Products and its promotional partners. Subway will support the chain's promotion with animated national television advertising and in-store point-of-sale materials created by Publicis Hal Riney & Partners of Chicago. The animated television advertising, launching in Canada this week and the U.S. next week, marks the first time Subway has produced an animated spot. The Mil-Looney-Um promotion will feature 10 different Looney Tunes character toys in a "collector clip" series. The toys will be included in Subway's Kids' Pak meal which includes a deli-style sandwich, cookie and drink. Subway is also targeting adults in the promotion with the special Mil-Looney-Um version twist and go cup from Pepsi. The plastic cup features a special twist-on top and twist-open spout and special party-themed Looney Tunes character graphics. As part of the promotion, Subway will conduct "The Favorite Cookie" of the Mil-Looney-Um. Each Looney Tunes character will represent one cookie. The character will act as a campaign manager for its cookie of choice and customers can cast their ballots for their favorite cookie with a chance to win a vacation for four to the Warner Brothers Studios in California. In-store POS materials also from Publicis Hal Riney & Partners, will promote "The Favorite Cookie" vote. Subway operates 12,500 independently owned locations across Canada and the United States.
