OBIE MEDIA STICKING TO NEW ADVERTISING MEDIUM

Vancouver-based Obie Media Limited is stuck on a "first-of-its-kind" advertising medium recently debuted in British Columbia at the TransLink Vancouver Seabus Terminal. The new medium is being tested as a pilot project as part of the Telus re-branding campaign. Obie Media has covered all the turnstiles and all of the display areas inside the loading terminal with the new Telus ads. Images were digitally produced on adhesive vinyl which eliminates the need for metal frames. Obie Media created the Seabus advertising for Ogilvy & Mather, which is staging the Telus re-branding campaign across British Columbia. Obie Media, a provider of out-of-home advertising products and services, says an estimated 750,000 people will see the Seabus advertising during the eight-week Telus campaign. If the program is successful then the Seabus advertising package could generate additional revenues for TransLink. Obie Media provides transit advertising services to the British Columbia and Ontario markets including Vancouver and London.
