CHIP DRAFTS COMMUNICATIONS TEAM

Following Grey Direct's win earlier this week of the Canadian Home Income Plan advertising and direct marketing business, CHIP has announced its new roster of agencies that will make up the company's communications team. Toronto-based Grey Direct will be joined by HYPN of Toronto, which will handle the company's media buying business, and Media Profile of Toronto, which will continue to handle CHIP's public relations activities. Media Profile has been handling the company's PR since 1997. CHIP's target market is seniors. Communications plans submitted by the three agencies are designed to inform seniors, their families and the media about the Canadian Home Income Plan. Upcoming plans for CHIP include television and radio advertising, a direct mail campaign, inserts, speakers' tours, sponsorships and online communications. CHIP was founded in 1986 in Vancouver, offering what they call Canada's first reverse mortgage product.
