By Adnews Staff
The second largest telecommunications company in Canada has announced the appointments of Go Direct Marketing Inc. and Realm Communications Inc., both of Vancouver, to its agency roster. According to Telus, Go Direct will manage the consumer direct mail campaigns for both TELUS Communications and TELUS Advanced Communications. Realm will handle direct mail assignments for TELUS Mobility with Ogilvy & Mather handling integrated campaigns and creative content. These appointments follow the company's appointments made in September regarding other pieces of its contracted advertising operations. Palmer Jarvis DDB/OMD is the agency-of-record for all media planning and buying. PJDDB is also the creative agency for mass market and direct response advertising in the business to business market. O&M will handle consumer mass advertising, TELUS Mobility and TELUS brand advertising. Terry Taciuk, vice president of consumer marketing, said each agency on the advertising team "has strengths in scale and management that TELUS needs as its expands nationally". The company will officially be opening a Toronto office in November to serve customers in Central and Eastern Canada.
