CANOE SHOPPING AT ONE-STOP SITE

Canadian Internet network Canoe has launched a one-stop-shopping site at <http://www.shop.canoe.ca> The new site is a combination of offerings from Canoe's content partners such as the Canadian Football League and its retail affiliates including Chapters and Sams. The shopping site has a directory of over 2,000 stores, with prices listed in Canadian dollars. New merchandise categories, products and retailers will be added on an ongoing basis. According to Jim O'Learly, vice president and general manager of CANOE, the site will soon offer a loyalty rewards program as well. Shop.Canoe.ca will be promoted in Canoe's fall advertising campaign from Toronto-based Ambrose Carr Linton Carroll. O'Learly said the site will be promoted using print ads and possibly through radio spots as well.
