OMNICOM BUYS STAKE IN CRITICAL MASS

Online marketing services company Critical Mass of Calgary has announced that New York-based Omnicom Group Inc. has acquired a 50 per cent stake in the company. Under the terms of the acquisition Critical Mass will be integrated into Omnicom's newly-formed electronic customer relationship management company Rapp Digital, based in New York. Rapp Digital is part of Omnicom's Rapp Collins Worldwide division. Critical Mass and Rapp Collins have previously worked together on accounts including Mercedes-Benz USA and Procter & Gamble. Critical Mass is headquartered in Calgary and operates offices in Chicago, Illinois and Stockholm Sweden. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
