FMK GETS TO THE SOLE OF THE MATTER

Montreal-based Aldo Shoes has selected FMK frierson, mee & kraft of New York as its new global advertising agency. Aldo president and founder Aldo Bensadoun said FMK was chosen because of its fashion advertising experience and creative capabilities. The independent agency has represented international fashion brands such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Jil Sander and Adidas. FMK was chosen from a shortlist of two agencies competing for the account. Wheatley & Rosenberg Inc. of Montreal was the incumbent. The first project for FMK will be the fashion footwear and accessory chain's international spring 2000 campaign. Aldo operates 300 stores across Canada, the United States and Israel.
