HORIZON LINE FOODS TO FILL MARKS & SPENCER GAP
By Adnews Staff
Horizon Line Foods has announced it will fill the void left in the market when Marks & Spencer shut down its Canadian business earlier this year. Horizon has produced a range of the most popular British meals under the Churchill brand and plans on introducing its brand into major supermarket chains and specialty food stores at the end of November. The Churchill brand will feature Steak & Kidney Pies, Cumberland pies, Melton Mowbray, Chicken Kiev, Cornish Pasties and Bangers. The company has hired The Brainstorm Group of Toronto to handle its marketing activities. A full marketing program targeting customers who use to shop at Marks & Spencer is planned when Churchill hits store shelves in November. The national marketing program includes print ads in newspapers and magazines, radio advertising and in-store point-of-purchase materials.
